Melanie Crew and Ross Palmer are a contemporary singer-songwriter duo blending strong harmonies and fingerpicked acoustic guitars.
Melanie and Ross released their second album, Some Other Stories, in December via Gare du Nord Records. In the last year, they've been the featured act at Colindale Barnet and Romford folk clubs, and have previously played support slots at TwickFolk, Croydon folk club, Uxbridge folk club and St Edith folk club. One of the songs from their new album, Blindly Through the World, was a finalist in the annual Watford Folk Club songwriting competition. Although they mostly play their own material, Some Other Stories features their first trad. arr. – an arrangement of Our Captain Cried All Hands.
