"A Very Original, Great Singer/Songwriter!" - Kent Folk on BBC Radio Kent
From foot-stomping folk to heartfelt ballads to historical commentary and story telling, Nick draws from the well of traditional and contemporary folk to compose his songs. His compositions evoke images of centuries gone by, be that wassailing in the winter, the re-telling of Viking raids in Kent, or spurned love. Nick also loves audience participation and has written songs that encourage call and response from the audience.
In July 2025, I was one of the winners of the Ely Folk Festival Spotlight Competition. Later that year, I supported award winning folk singer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Lakeman at the Dover Booking Hall, 2023 UK Americana Awards Best Live Act nominees The Noble Jacks at The Royal Tunbridge Wells Forum.
