Saltburn Folk Club has been running since the 1980s and has been held in most of the licenced premises of the town during it's existence. Currently held in Saltburn House, on Marine Parade and run by a committee of ten enthusiastic members who all perform themselves, either as singers, musicians or poets. The club has an open policy of welcoming any type of performance, be it traditional or contemporary, and as a seaside holiday venue we are often visited by people who just happen to be staying in the town. There are weekly Zoom sessions also, on Wednesday and Saturday evenings which attract a number of international participants. We also participate in Saltburn Folk Festival, an annual event held in August and hold regular concerts in the local community hall in co-operation with Saltburn Community Arts Association. Annual membership is £3 with a £2 entrance fee, which includes the wine raffle. These funds help subsidise the concerts which are run on a non-profit basis. Details of all activities can be found on our website and there are regular updates on Facebook.
